Korea is getting familiar in Japan. We call it 'Hanryu-boom'.( It means the friendly flow to Korea.)
Since the World Cup has held in Asia 4
years ago, the relationship between Japan and Korea favorably changed.
Especially Korean movie star ,Bae Yongjoon, 'Yon-Sama' who is an idle of Japanese middle-aged
ladies accelerates this boom.
But recently I happened to see movies describing Korean's life in Japan. The one
is 'Blood and Born'
(Japanese title 'Chi to Hone') directed by Sai Yo-ichi
and mainly acted by Kitano Takeshi. It shows a life of a Korean immigrated
from Saisyu island in Korea in early 19's. Main theme are "Sex,Money
and Violence".Finally, he returned to his country,North Korea carrying
with big money.
The other is 'Pacchigi !' mainly starring by Kin Chi Sun. She is a Korean born in Japan. The movie projects the way how Korean young lives in Japan. Main theme is "We shall overcome someday". 'The Imujinn River' is featured as a background music.
In my impression, I feel miserable and sad. Because Japanese always fight against Koreans. I can not stand to watch these kind of films as a Japanese. I wish I could see more relaxed movies, of course not a soap drama.
