I traveled around Morocco on a package tour from April 10th for 10 days.
We drove about 2000km. that is the long distance as same as the both
way from Tokyo to Kagoshima.
Morocco is called 'Magurebu' country, that means 'Sun set' country. Morocco is exotic country.
Moroccans preserve their own tradition and keep customs.
Women wear a scarf and a colourful long coart
and men put on a round hat and wear black and white coart.
Casablanca
Casablanca became famous for the movie 'Casablanca' starring Hunphrey
Bogart and Inglid Bergman.
H. Bogart is one of my favorite stars. We can enjoy famons dialogue in
this movie such as ' Here's looking at you, kid.'
Marrakech
Place Djemaa el Fna is registered as a world heritage. There are many street-entertainers
and street-stallkkeepers.
Erfoud
We went to this oasis through the Route Des Kasbahs. We drove for an hour from a hotel to watch sun rise in Erg Chebbi desert eraly in the morning.
Ifrane
This area a resort town and called Swiss in Morocco. Rich people lare living in this town.
Fez
Medina, Fezel Bali is the biggest maze in the world. More than 1000
blind alleies spreaded in this maze.
Many donkies are walking in a small alley carriyng heavy luggages.
I reminded 'Ame-yoko' in Ueno right after
the world war 2.
Threr are tanne-leather factories. World famous leather goods makers in France and Italy use these leathers.
Volubilis
Volubilis preserves the biggest Roman ruins in Morocco, that is registered as a world heritage. We can enjoy watching many storks.
Meknes
Bab el Mansour is the most beautiful gate in Morocco desighned with mosaie.
Environment Trouble
The aborigines living in a tent at front of the desert
are putting goats and sheep to grass. But they don't have toilet.
We can see a lot of gabbeges around their tent.
Also desrts are littered with visitor's plastic bags and bottles.
Other impression
Morocco was under the suzeranity of French for long years. They can understand French but hardly speak English. Farmers still make use of a donky and a horse ,not yet mechnized.
